The board of county commissioners hereby establishes a schedule of fees and charges
for matters pertaining to this Code. It is the intent of this Code that Okeechobee
County shall not be required to bear any part of the cost of applications or petitions
made under this Code and that the fees and charges herein set out represent the cost
of required postage, clerical, filing, and other costs involved in the processing
of applications and petitions. Extraordinary costs in addition to those listed in
appendix "A" may be charged to the developer on a case-specific basis.
The schedule of fees and charges listed in appendix "A" shall be posted in the offices
of the zoning administrator. The schedule may be changed by resolution of the board
of county commissioners and is not subject to the procedure for amendment of this
Code set out in this article.
Applications or petitions initiated officially by Okeechobee County by its duly authorized
agencies or officers are exempt from the payment of the fees or charges herein set
out.
Until the applicable fees or charges have been paid in full, no action of any type
or kind shall be taken on an application or petition.
