§ 6-46. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Alcoholic beverages means distilled spirits and all beverages containing one-half of one percent or more alcohol by volume.

    Beer and malt beverages means all brewed beverages containing malt, containing one-half of one percent or more alcohol by volume.

    Intoxicating beverage and intoxicating liquor means only those alcoholic beverages containing more than 4.007 percent alcohol by volume.

    Wine means all beverages made from fresh fruits, berries or grapes, either by natural fermentation or by natural fermentation with brandy added, containing one-half of one percent or more alcohol by volume.
