§ 66-38. Tow-away zone.

  • The board of county commissioners may designate a no parking zone to further be a tow-away zone. Any unattended vehicle found in a designated tow-away zone shall be subject to being towed away and impounded by a towing company designated by the county law enforcement or code enforcement officer. Prior to the release of any vehicles so impounded, the owner shall pay a civil penalty as provided in this article, as well as the authorized towing and storage cost. The board of county commissioners is hereby authorized to qualify and designate authorized towing and storage companies to be utilized for the towing and storage required by this article. Towing and storage fees shall be uniformed among all qualified towing and storage companies, with the rate structure approved by the board of county commissioners.
