§ 58-77. Commercial use prohibited; enumeration of prohibited uses; exception.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful to make any commercial use of the right-of-way of any county-maintained road, including appendages thereto, and including, but not limited to, rest areas, parks, boat launching ramps and other county lands and easements.

    (b)

    Such prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:

    (1)

    The sale, or the display for sale, of any merchandise.

    (2)

    The servicing or repairing of any vehicle, except the rendering of emergency service.

    (3)

    The storage of vehicles or mobile homes being serviced or repaired on abutting property or elsewhere.

    (4)

    The solicitation for the sale of goods, property or services.

    (5)

    The display of advertising of any sort.

    (c)

    Exceptions to such prohibited uses may be granted by the board of county commissioners for an activity such as a festival, fair, or other special event sponsored by a civic, veteran or other nonprofit beneficent or community service organization, at a specified location for a specified time.
