§ 54-232. Establishment of the municipal service taxing unit for law enforcement.

The Okeechobee County Municipal Service Taxing Unit for Law Enforcement is hereby established pursuant to the authority of F.S. § 125.01(1)(q). The boundaries of the municipal service taxing unit for law enforcement ("Law Enforcement MSTU") shall be coterminous with all the unincorporated areas of Okeechobee County existing on January 1, 2010 and on the first day of January each year thereafter. The board shall govern the law enforcement MSTU as provided herein.
