§ 54-102. Initial proceedings.

The initial proceeding for imposition of a fire protection assessment shall be the passage by the board of an initial assessment resolution:

(1)

Containing a brief and general description of the fire protection services and facilities to be provided;

(2)

Describing the method of apportioning the fire protection cost to compute the fire protection assessment for specific properties;

(3)

Designating a maximum assessment rate; and

(4)

Directing the fire protection assessment coordinator to prepare the initial fire protection assessment roll, as required by section 54-103, publish the notice required by section 54-104, and mail the notice required by section 54-105.
