§ 50-8. Same—Submission.

(a)

The petition shall be submitted to the county administrator, or his designee, for administrative evaluation and review and for recommendations to the board. The administrative evaluation shall include a determination of the adequacy or availability of funds reserved for this purpose and the estimated total costs of such improvements.

(b)

At this stage, the board shall decide whether or not to proceed with the preparation of the initial assessment resolution, proposed assessment ordinance, and the initial assessment roll in accordance with this chapter.

(c)

The board may condition the preparation of the assessment ordinance, advertising the public hearing required by section 50-12 and provision of the written notice required by section 50-13 upon the petitioners placing a cost deposit with the county to cover the estimated administrative costs of such requirements.
