§ 50-7. Same—Contents.

  • The petition shall contain the following information:

    (1)

    A designated individual, including his address and telephone number who will be or act as the official representative of the petitioners.

    (2)

    Specific designation of the boundaries of the area to be benefited by the requested governmental services, facilities, or programs.

    (3)

    Signatures as they appear on the ownership documents of 75 percent or more of the owners of the lands involved in the area to be benefited as well as the owners of 51 percent or more of the lands involved in the area to be benefited. The specific legal description as it appears on the tax roll or legal ownership documents of the lots or land shall be set forth opposite the names of the signers of the petition.

    (4)

    A property appraiser's map delineating actual ownership of each benefited parcel within the proposed district.

    Failure to supply any of the information described in this section in the written petition shall result in the return of the petition to the designated individual referred to in subsection (1) of this section.
