§ 49-28. Construction waste.

  • (a)

    Prior to the issuance of a building permit for the construction or renovation of any structure, the applicant shall provide for the collection and disposal of any construction waste which may result from the construction. The disposal of the construction waste shall be at a sanitary landfill using equipment for such collection and disposal that is acceptable to the county.

    (b)

    The collector shall be required to collect and dispose of construction waste. The billing and collection of such fees shall be the sole responsibility of the collector and the amount charged shall not exceed the maximum rate for the collection and disposal of construction waste as established by the board. All such collection and disposal shall be the responsibility of the applicant for the building permit. All construction waste collected shall be disposed of at a sanitary landfill.
