§ 24-22. Processing of application; investigation; findings.

  • (a)

    Processing. Upon receipt of a complete application properly filed with the department and upon payment of the non-refundable application fee, the department shall immediately stamp the application with the date it was received and shall immediately thereafter send photocopies of the application and all attachments to the fire department, sheriff's department, Code compliance division, and the planning division of the department of planning and development.

    (b)

    Investigation. Each department shall promptly conduct an investigation of the applicant, application, and the proposed establishment, within such department's respective area of responsibility, to determine whether sufficient information was given on the application and whether the proposed establishment will be in violation of any provision of this chapter or of any building, fire, health, or zoning provision, code, ordinance, regulation, or court order.

    (c)

    Findings. After investigation, each department shall prepare a report and forward its findings to the department and shall state whether the department finds that false, incomplete, or incorrect information was given on the application and whether the proposed establishment will be in violation of any provision of this chapter or any applicable building, fire, health, or zoning provision.
