§ 22-71. Certification or registration required.

No person who is not certified or registered in accordance with F.S. Chapter 489, or holds the required certificate of competency issued by the Okeechobee County Construction Industry Licensing Board or the county department of planning and development director for specialties not requiring registration, shall engage in the business or act in the capacity of a contractor or advertise himself as available to engage in the business or act in the capacity of a contractor within the City of Okeechobee or the unincorporated areas of Okeechobee County.
