Unless otherwise specifically provided herein, the jurisdiction and provisions of
this article II shall be extend to both the City of Okeechobee as well as the unincorporated
areas of Okeechobee County. Such jurisdictions shall extend to the licensing, review
and discipline of contractors, including specialty contractors and limited specialty
contractors as defined in the Okeechobee County Code. Provided however, this provision
shall not be construed to apply Okeechobee County Building Codes to the incorporated
areas of the City of Okeechobee nor shall it be deemed to permit or require the Okeechobee
County Building officials, inspectors, and staff to inspect, investigate or cite license
holders for activities occurring within the City of Okeechobee, unless specifically
authorized by interlocal agreement.
