§ 10-20. Animal welfare.
Any owner or possessor of any animal shall:
(1)
Provide daily for adequate quantities of fresh food and water;
(2)
Provide adequate shelter, sufficient for protection from the elements, with sufficient air ventilation and circulation;
(3)
Provide adequate and necessary veterinary care;
(4)
Provide sanitary conditions.
Further, animals maintained on a tether must be free of entanglements. Animals must not be on prong or choke collars when unattended by their owners.
