§ 10-6. Regulation of ownership, maintenance and treatment of animals.

Except as otherwise provided by state law, it shall be unlawful to own, maintain, or treat animals in violation of the provisions of this chapter. It shall further be unlawful for any owner to have in his custody any animal that is prohibited by federal or state law.
